LEFT SIDE COWL WATER LEAKS

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1984-1987 CAMAROS AND FIREBIRDS/NON AIR ----------------- CONDITIONING

Water leaks through the left side fresh air vents on non A/C 1984-1987 Camaros and Firebirds may be due to an unsealed left side wiper transmission to cowl mounting surface.

The wiper transmission is mounted to the cowl directly above the fresh air duct and, if not sealed properly, will leak into the duct.

This condition may be repaired by applying a coating of 3M 08551 Clear Drip Check, Dominion/American LSC, Permatex #84 Clear Super Auto Seal or equivalent to the surfaces and flanges at the wiper transmission mounting area.

Use the most applicable labour operation from the Canadian Labour Time Guide.
