FRONT SEAT BACK TRIM DAMAGED REPLACE FRONT SEAT BACK TRIM

DRIVER/PASSENGER FRONT SEAT BACK TRIM HAS POSSIBLE HOLE ON OUTBOARD SIDE.

WHEN REAR SEAT BACK IS FOLDED DOWN, SHOULDER BELT GUIDE LOOP MAY CONTACT FRONT SEAT. MOVEMENT OF THE FRONT SEAT CAUSES WEAR BY THE GUIDE LOOP CREATING A HOLE.

CORRECTION:

REPLACE FRONT SEAT BACK TRIM. REINFORCE AREA BEHIND TRIM TO SPREAD ANY LOAD BY INSERTING A PIECE OF HEAVY CARDBOARD (3 THICKNESS OF POSTER BOARD) 16 1/2 X 13 1/2 INCHES BETWEEN SEAT BACK AND NEW TRIM COVER. SEE ILLUSTRATION. SECURE CARDBOARD IN PLACE WITH TAPE.

NEW GUIDE LOOP AND BELT ASSEMBLIES SHOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR SERVICE OF 1989/90 MODELS IN APRIL OF 1990. NEW PART NUMBERS WILL BE ISSUED WHEN PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE.
