THIS BULLETIN CANCELS AND SUPERSEDES DEALER SERVICE BULLETIN NO. 88-401-10, DATED APRIL 1989. THE 1989, 1990, 1991 AND 1992 MODEL YEARS HAVE BEEN ADDED AS WELL AS THE LABOR OPERATION NUMBER. ALL COPIES OF 88-401-10 SHOULD BE DISCARDED.
Owner comments of loose and/or wavy door glass belt sealing strip may be addressed without replacing the complete door trim pad assembly.
The upper portion of the trim pad (support, belt trim) is available from GMSPO, Group # 14.691, P/N 12394510, Right Hand and 12394511, Left Hand. These support assemblies include the sealing strip.
Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
Remove the front door belt support using tool J-28626-A, Kent Moore or equivalent. Install new support using same inverted nuts.
