THE ACRYLIC PANELS HAVE A SPECIAL HARD COATING TO RESIST SCRATCHING AND REQUIRE SPECIAL CARE WHEN REMOVED FOR STOWAGE OR CLEANING.
- FLUSH OFF DUST AND DIRT WITH WATER AND THEN DRY. - CLEAN PANEL WITH GM # 1050427, OR EQUIVALENT. ALLOW CLEANER TO REMAIN ON PANEL FOR ABOUT 1 MINUTE, THEN WIPE DRY WITH A SOFT LINT FREE CLOTH. - DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANERS!
PARTS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FROM GMSPO.
THE NEW LATCHING SYSTEM INCLUDES SPRING LOADED SLEEVES ON THE ENDS OF THE RODS, AND WHEN LATCHED INTO POSITION, PROVIDE A MORE CONSISTENT LOCATION OF THE PANEL IN THE OPENING WHILE ALSO REDUCING SQUEAKS AND RATTLES.
THE NEW ACRYLIC PANELS ARE USED WITH A REVISED CENTER FINISHING MOLDING (T BAR). THE NEW T BAR IS REQUIRED DUE TO A THICKNESS CHANGE FROM THE PREVIOUS GLASS PANEL.
IN ADDITION, PAST MODEL GLASS ROOF PANELS WILL BE AVAILABLE, AND WILL INCLUDE THE NEW LATCHING SYSTEM.
