Subject: LEFT SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL RATTLE

Model and Year: 1988-91 CAMARO

TO: ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS

Condition: Left side instrument panel rattle

Cause: Headlamp switch hits trim plate

Correction: Remove rod/knob assembly as outlined in Service Manual. Enlarge hole in trim plate to 8.5mm (5/16 inch) and install rubber grommet (P/N 10181816). Reverse Service Manual procedures to reinstall rod/knob assembly.
