SUBJECT: LEFT SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL RATTLE (REMOVE ROD/KNOB ASSEMBLY ENLARGE TRIM PLATE HOLE, INSTALL GROMMET)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1988-91 CHEV 'F'

Condition:

------------ Left side instrument panel rattle

Cause:

------ Headlamp switch hits trim plate

Correction:

----------- Remove rod/knob assembly as outlined in Service Manual. Enlarge hole in trim plate to 8.5mm (5/16 inch) and install rubber grommet (P/N #10181816). Reverse Service Manual procedures to reinstall rod/knob assembly.
