MODELS: 1995-96 CHEVROLET CAMARO 1995-96 PONTIAC FIREBIRD

CONDITION:

SOME OF THE ABOVE LISTED VEHICLES MAY DEVELOP A STEERING LEAD OR PULL. THIS WILL USUALLY BE TO THE RIGHT, BUT ON OCCASION MAY BE TO THE LEFT.

CAUSE:

TIRE FORCES MAY CHANGE DURING THE FIRST SEVERAL THOUSAND MILES OF DRIVING, CREATING A LEAD OR PULL. AS WITH MOST OTHER VEHICLES, EXCESSIVE CROSS CAMBER OR CROSS CASTER (LEFT MINUS RIGHT) CAN ALSO CAUSE THIS CONDITION.

IF THE VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH NON-DIRECTIONAL TIRES, THE TIRES SHOULD BE ROTATED ACCORDING TO FIGURE 1. IF THE PULL IS TO THE RIGHT, THE LEFT FRONT AND RIGHT REAR TIRES SHOULD SWAP POSITIONS. IF THE PULL IS TO THE LEFT, THE RIGHT FRONT AND LEFT REAR TIRES SHOULD BE SWAPPED.

IF THE PULL CONDITION STILL EXISTS, VEHICLE ALIGNMENT SHOULD BE CHECKED. TO CORRECT FOR A RIGHT PULL, SET WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH .4 DEGREES CROSS CASTER AND CROSS CAMBER AS FOLLOWS:
