Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.

  2. Object Number: 11680  Size: SH
  3. Remove the coolant recovery reservoir hose.
  4. Remove the battery tray hold down screw.
  5. Remove the battery tray and coolant recovery reservoir.
  6. Clean the battery tray and reservoir with soap and water. Thoroughly rinse the reservoir.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 11680  Size: SH
  1. Install the battery tray and coolant recovery reservoir.
  2. Install the hold down screw.
  3. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 12 N·m(106 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the coolant recovery hose.
  5. Install the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement in Engine Electrical.
  6. Add the engine coolant to the FULL COLD mark on the reservoir.
