1. Turn the ignition ON with the engine in RUN.
2. If the charge indicator is not on, detach the wire harness at the generator and the ground L terminal.

Does the indicator go on?

1. Locate an open circuit between the ground lead and the ignition switch.
2. Repair any open circuit.

Check for a burned out indicator bulb. Replace as needed.

Does the indicator go on?

Repair or replace the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement .
