MODELS: 1996 CHEVROLET CAMARO 1996 PONTIAC FIREBIRD WITH 3800 SERIES II ENGINE (VIN K - RPO L36)

GENERAL MOTORS POWERTRAIN ENGINEERING HAS DETERMINED THAT SPARK PLUG WIRE HEAT SHIELDS ON THE SPARK PLUG END OF THE WIRE ON CYLINDERS 1, 2, AND 5 ARE NOT NECESSARY. SHORTLY AFTER THE START OF 1996 MODEL YEAR PRODUCTION, A RUNNING CHANGE WAS MADE TO ELIMINATE THE SPARK PLUG HEAT SHIELDS ON CYLINDERS 1, 2, AND 5.
