Important: In order to avoid misdiagnosis, check for proper engine oil pressure before performing this diagnosis.

1. Disconnect the engine oil pressure sensor.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position, with the engine off.

Does the engine oil pressure gauge read high pressure?

Go to Step 2

Go to Step 3

Replace the engine oil pressure sensor.

Is the repair complete?

System OK

1. Test circuit 31 for a short to ground.
2. If circuit 31 is OK, replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
