Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position while monitoring the LOW oil indicator.

Does the LOW oil indicator turn on for approximately 1 second?

1. Inspect for an open or poor connection in CKT 1173 between the instrument cluster and the powertrain control module (PCM).
2. Inspect for a poor connection at instrument cluster connector terminal A15.

Did you repair an open or poor connection?

Go to Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check (V6) or Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check (V8) in Engine Controls

Service the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
