Removal Procedure
- Remove the front bucket seat (1). Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
- Remove the screws from the recliner trim cover (2) and remove the trim cover from the front bucket seat (1).
- Disconnect the wire harness from the lumbar seat switches (4,5).
- With a small flat-bladed tool, release the retaining tab for the lumbar switches (4,5) and remove the switches from the trim cover.
Installation Procedure
- Install the lumbar switches (4,5) into the seat recliner trim cover (2) and press until the switches are fully seated.
- Connect the wire harness to the lumbar seat switches (4,5).
- Install the recliner trim cover (2) to the front bucket seat (1) and install the cover screws.
- Install the front bucket seat (1). Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.7 N·m (15 lb in).
