Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 311091  Size: MH
  1. Lower the folding top to a suitable working position.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  3. Remove the upper rear weatherstrip bolts (1) from the front side door window.
  4. Remove the upper rear weatherstrip (2) from the front side door window.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 311144  Size: SH
  1. Line up the top tab of the weatherstrip (1) to the notch in the weatherstrip retainer (2).
  2. Insert the weatherstrip (1) into the retainer (2).
  3. Roll the weatherstrip into place.

  4. Object Number: 311091  Size: MH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the upper rear weatherstrip bolts (1) to the front side door window.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 1.3 N·m (12 lb in).

  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  8. Raise the folding top.
