Removal Procedure
  1. Lower the folding top to a suitable working position.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  3. Remove the folding top front weatherstrip. Refer to Front Weatherstrip Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 311146 Size: SH
  4. Remove the retainer bolts (5) from the folding top front weatherstrip.
  5. Remove the retainer (6) from the folding top front weatherstrip.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 311146 Size: SH
  1. Install the retainer (6) to the folding top front weatherstrip.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the retainer bolts (5) to the folding top front weatherstrip.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the folding top front weatherstrip. Refer to Front Weatherstrip Replacement .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection in Engine Electrical.
  5. Raise the folding top.
