Did you perform the IPC Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

Start the vehicle.

Does the CHECK GAGES indicator illuminate during the bulb test?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

1. Connect a scan tool.
2. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
3. Using a scan tool perform the instrument cluster displays test.

Does the CHECK GAGES indicator turn on?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Engine Controls in Engine Controls-3.8L or Diagnostic System Check - Engine Controls in Engine Controls-5.7L

Go to Step 4

Important: Program the replacement IPC.

Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 5

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
