CHECK ENGINE LAMP DRIVER BOARD LOCATION INFORMATION

Chart No. 5, Figure 6E-27 page 6E-21 of the 1982 Service Manual refers to the remote check engine lamp driver circuit board. In prior model years, this function was performed internally in the ECM. This circuit board is located on the IP harness near the ECM. Figure 1 shows the replacement of the circuit board. Make note of this in your 1982 Service Manual.
