TAIL LAMP SUBSTITUTION SERVICE USAGE

Model and Year 1984 CAPRICE STATION WAGON

Due to a shortage of production taillamps, vehicles have been built with substitution lamp assemblies. The breakpoints for substitution lamps at the affected assembly plants are as follows:

Fairfax - Started with VIN EX146940.

Oshawa - Intermittent substitution starting with VIN E9183460, total substitu- tion starting with VIN E9216649.

Taillamp substitution should end approximately June 1, 1984. The visual difference in the taillamps is in the back-up light, as shown below:
