REAR SUSPENSION SPRING CLUNK INSTALL LWR. SPRING INSULATOR

Subject: REAR SUSPENSION SPRING CLUNK

Model and Year: 1991 CAPRICE STATION WAGON

Condition: Some 1991 B-car station wagons assembled prior to VIN breakpoint indicated below may exhibit a clunking type noise from the rear of the vehicle when being operated over irregular road surfaces.

Cause: Rear coil spring movement on rear axle assembly spring seats.

Correction: Install rear spring lower insulators, P/N 10004110 (2 required/vehicle) at the spring to axle assembly spring seat interface following applicable Service Manual procedures.
