RT. FRT. SUSP. CLUNK INSTALL NEW BOLT FOR ABS SENSOR BRKT.

Subject: RIGHT-FRONT SUSPENSION CLUNK OR SQUEAK

Model and Year: 1991 CAPRICE

Condition:

---------- A clunk or squeak noise (from the-front suspension) may be heard on some 1991 B-cars.

Cause:

------ The bolt for the front ABS wheel speed sensor wire bracket may contact the coil spring.

Correction:

----------- A 12mm bolt was released for production after VIN # W108557. If this condition occurs on vehicles built prior to this, replace the 16mm bolt with a 12mm bolt, P/N 11 513914.

Part is currently available from GMSPO.

See Illustration below for bolt location. Torque bolt to 10 N.m (89 lbs. in.).
