SCRATCHES-FULL SIZE ALUMINUM SPARE (NEW PLASTIC COVER)

SUBJECT: SCRATCHES - FULL SIZE ALUMINUM SPARE WHEEL (NEW PLASTIC COVER BETWEEN JACK AND SPARE)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1991 B CAR SEDAN

Condition:

---------- Some vehicles equipped with a full size aluminum wheel for the spare tire may experience some minor scratches to the face of the wheel.

Cause:

------- These scratches are caused by contact with the jack.

Correction:

----------- A moulded plastic cover is now available to prevent contact between the jack and the aluminum wheel. (See Illustration) This cover entered Production with VIN 133303.

A jack cover, P/N 14097773 may be ordered from CANSPO for vehicles built prior to this VIN.

NOTICE: CARE MUST BE TAKEN TO PREVENT SCRATCHING TO THE ALUMINUM SPARE FROM THE HOLD DOWN 'J' BOLT IN THE TRUNK.
