"GM OF CANADA" AND "NAES" DEALERS ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO UTILIZE THIS SERVICE BULLETIN.
SINCE THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NEW WARRANTY INFORMATION NETWORK SYSTEM, THE INVOLVED DIVISIONS AND DEALERS/RETAILERS HAVE WORKED TO PROVIDE CONTINUOUS INPUT FOR IMPROVEMENT TO THE NEW SYSTEM.
MEETINGS HAVE BEEN HELD WITH THE DEALER/RETAILER ADVISORY BOARD AND NUMEROUS SERVICE GROUPS AND WARRANTY ADMINISTRATORS FOR SUGGESTIONS ON WHAT COULD BE MODIFIED TO MAKE A CLAIM SUBMISSION EASIER.
AS A RESULT OF DEALER/RETAILER INPUT, EFFECTIVE WITH CLAIMS SUBMITTED AFTER CREDIT CYCLE 506, THE FORMAT FOR LABOR TIME SUBMISSION WILL BE MODIFIED.

THIS NEW FORMAT WILL FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE GUIDELINES:
O REGULAR LABOR HOURS AREA: IF PUBLISHED TIMES DIRECTLY ASSOCIATED TO THE LABOR OPERATION YOU ARE SUBMITTING IS BASED ON A PUBLISHED SOURCE, (I.E., BULLETINS, LABOR TIME GUIDE, CAMPAIGN, SPECIAL POLICY, DIVISIONAL LETTERS, ETC.) IT SHOULD BE SUBMITTED AS REGULAR HOURS.
O OTHER LABOR HOURS AREA: ALL OTHER TIMES (I.E., CLOCK PUNCHED STRAIGHT TIME FOR NON-PUBLISHED DIAGNOSIS, CALCULATED VARIABLE STRIP TIME, ETC.)
IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT PAINT MIX TIME AND ADMINISTRATIVE ALLOWANCES WILL NOW BE SUBMITTED AS REGULAR HOURS. ALSO NOTE THAT ANY AMOUNT OF OTHER LABOR HOURS WILL REQUIRE EITHER WHOLESALE OR RETAIL AUTHORIZATION BASED ON DIVISIONAL AUTHORIZATION PRACTICES.
ALL PREVIOUS INFORMATION REGARDING REGULAR AND OTHER LABOR HOURS SHOULD BE DISREGARDED. THE NEXT PRINTING OF THE CLAIMS PROCESSING MANUAL AND LABOR TIME GUIDES WILL REFLECT THESE CHANGES. A RECAP OF TYPICAL SITUATIONS FOLLOWS FOR YOUR REFERENCE.
