Removal Procedure

    Important: Take care when handling the MAF. Do not dent, puncture, or otherwise damage the Honeycell located at the air inlet end of the MAF. Do not touch the sensing elements or allow anything (including cleaning solvents and lubricants) to come in contact with them. A small amount of GM lubricant (P/N=99855406) may be used on the air duct only, to aid in installation. Do not drop or roughly handle the MAF.

  1. Disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector.

  2. Object Number: 30029  Size: SH
  3. Loosen air duct clamps and remove the MAF sensor (6).

Installation Procedure

    Important:: Embossed arrows on MAF sensor indicate proper air flow direction and must point toward the engine.

  1. Install the MAF sensor into the air duct.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the air duct clamps to 4 N·m (36 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the MAF sensor.
