🢒 Fuel Outlet Tube Replacement
Removal Procedure
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to the Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure.
Remove the fuel rail assembly. Refer to Fuel Rail Assembly.
Remove the fuel tube bracket attaching screw and the fuel tube bracket.
Remove the fuel outlet tube retainer clip (4).
Remove the fuel outlet tube (5) from the pressure regulator (1).
Remove the O-ring (3) from the fuel outlet tube (5). Discard the O-ring.
Installation Procedure
Lubricate the new O-ring (3) with clean engine oil.
Install the O-ring (3) on the fuel outlet tube (5).
Push the fuel outlet tube (5) into the pressure regulator (1).
Install the fuel outlet tube retainer clip (4).
Install the fuel tube bracket and the attaching screw.
Tighten
Tighten the fuel tube bracket attaching screw to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
Install the fuel rail assembly. Refer to Fuel Rail Assembly.
Tighten the fuel filler cap.
Connect the negative battery cable.
Inspect for leaks.
9.1.
Turn the ignition switch ON for 2 seconds.
9.2.
Turn the ignition switch OFF for 10 seconds.
9.3.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
9.4.
Check for fuel leaks.
