Electric Cooling Fan W/O RPO VO8 Heavy Duty

Removal Procedure

Important: The base cooling system (w/o VO3 and VO8) has dual electric fans with a 150 watt fan on the right-hand side and a 100 watt fan on the left-hand side. The VO3 cooling system also has dual electric fans with a 150 watt fan on the right-hand side and a 240 watt fan on the left-hand side. In order to have proper cooling, install the fans in the correct locations.

Caution: Keep hands, tools, and clothing away from the electric engine coolant fans in order to help prevent personal injury. These fans are electric and can turn on whether or not the engine is running. The fans can start automatically with the ignition in the ON position.

Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.
