Radiator Cap Recovery Reservoir Cap

Tools Required

1. Check for damage or debris on the inner sealing surface of the coolant recovery reservoir filler tube neck.
2. Check for damage or debris on the filler cap.
3. Clean the coolant recovery reservoir filler cap.
4. Install the cap on the male threaded adapter J 24460-194 (part of J 24460-92 ).
5. Attach adapter J 24460-194 to J 24460-01 .
6. In order to obtain the minimum holding pressure, slowly pump the J 24460-01 .

•	If the cap fails to hold 97 kPa (14 psi), replace the cap. Refer to Coolant Recovery System .

•	If a new cap is being installed, coat the cap gasket with engine coolant.
