Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 103680 Size: MH
  1. Install the engine electrical harness connector to the generator.
  2. Install the generator (13) into position.
  3. Install the brace (9), the bolt (19) and the nuts (10 and 8).
  4. Tighten

        • Tighten the nut (10) or bolt (19) to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
        • Tighten the nut (8) to 41 N·m(30  lb  ft).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the brace (6), nut (7) and bolt (11).
  6. Tighten

        • Tighten the nut (7) to 41 N·m(30  lb  ft).
        • Tighten the bolt (11) to 50 N·m(37  lb  ft).
  7. Move the brace (2) into position.
  8. Install the nut (1) and the bolt (16).
  9. Tighten

        • Tighten the nut (1) or the bolt (16) to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
        • Tighten the nut (5) to 41 N·m (30 lb ft).
  10. Install the battery positive cable to the generator BAT terminal.
  11. Tighten
