This bulletin is being published to provide information on dealer installed satellite navigation units in which the connector and harness at the rear of the unit fouls with the instrument panel cross-car beam in the area shown (1) due to presence of a redundant bracket.
During installed of dealer-installed Satnav systems, it will be necessary to remove this bracket in order to avoid the foul condition described.
After removing the glovebox to gain access to the cross-car beam, remove the section of the bracket as shown above (1) using cold cutting.
Important: Avoid any cutting method which will create sparks due to the proximity to the passenger air bag.
