Some dealers are requesting replacement audio system components because DTC B101D (EEPROM Failure) is set in the IRC (integrated radio chassis).
This DTC can potentially set in any VE or WM vehicles without causing any functional issues with the audio system.
The condition which causes this DTC to set when there is no fault is under investigation. Breakpoint information will be published when available.
| • | If there are no memory-related issues with the IRC (i.e. station presets resetting or clock resetting), ignore this DTC. |
| • | If the IRC loses memory functions and this DTC is set, contact Blaupunkt Service or TAS for further advice. |
| • | If there is a condition with the audio system, other than memory-related functions, further diagnosis should be carried out to identify the cause. |
