This bulletin has been updated to correct the VIN breakpoint.
Condition
Customers may comment on a squeal from the rear brakes. The squeal is usually more obvious in reverse, during the first cold application of the brakes.
Cause
The natural resonant frequency of the rotor aligns with the natural resonant frequency of the caliper anchor bracket, which produces a squeal noise.
Correction
After verifying the customer complaint, install a revised set of rear brake pads, P/N 99203666.
DO NOT install existing pads, P/N 92193454, machine discs or perform any other modification in an attempt to repair this condition.
