Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to General Repair Instructions in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution in the Preface section.

    Caution: Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief in the Preface section.

  1. Park the vehicle in a well ventilated area, away from any ignition source.
  2. Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  4. Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  6. Remove the right rear wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  7. Remove the right rear wheel house liner. Refer to Rear Inner Wheelhouse Replacement.

  9. Remove the petrol fill tube (2) to allow access to the LPG fill valve (1) retaining nut. Refer to Filler Tube Replacement.

  10. Object Number: 1963342  Size: SH

    Important: Hold the LPG fill valve at (2) when detaching the fitting (1).

  11. Remove the LPG fill line fitting (1) from LPG fill valve (2).
  12. Remove the LPG fill valve to body retaining nut (2).
  13. Remove the LPG fill valve from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the LPG fill valve to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the LPG fill valve to body retaining nut (2).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 18 N·m (13 lb  ft).

  5. Install the fitting (1) to the LPG fill valve (2).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the fitting to 18 N·m (13 lb  ft).

  7. Install the petrol fill tube (2). Refer to Filler Tube Replacement.
  8. Important: Make sure that both of the filler caps can be removed.

  9. Check clearance between the LPG fill valve (1) and the petrol filler tube (2).
  10. Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  11. Install a small amount of LPG to pressurise the fill line and inspect for LPG fuel leaks at the serviced fitting's and fill valve using the combustible gas detector or an equivalent liquid leak detector.
  12. Install the right rear wheel house liner. Refer to Rear Inner Wheelhouse Replacement.
  13. Install the right rear wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
