Removal Procedure
- Remove the auxiliary battery. Refer to
Auxiliary Battery Replacement.
Important: Lift the auxiliary battery box (2)
upward and over the battery bracket retaining posts (1).
- Remove the auxiliary battery box (2).
Important: The auxiliary battery tray is retained with
micro-encapsulated nuts.
Important: Nuts with micro-encapsulated thread sealant
must be discarded after removal.
- Remove the auxiliary battery tray assembly retaining bolt (1).
- Remove the auxiliary battery tray assembly retaining nut and bolts (3).
- Remove the auxiliary battery tray assembly (2) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Install the battery tray assembly (2)
to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Install the auxiliary battery tray assembly (2) retaining bolt (1).
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the auxiliary battery tray assembly retaining nut and bolts (3).
Tighten
Tighten the nut and bolts to 9 N·m
(80 lb in).
Important: Make sure the battery bracket retaining post's (1)
are correctly secure under the battery tray assembly.
- Install the auxiliary battery box (2).
- Install the auxiliary battery. Refer to
Auxiliary Battery Replacement.
