Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.
Important: The seat memory seat module and seat interface
module (MSM and SIM) are an integral part of the seat system and should only be replaced
as a complete assembly.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery. Refer to
Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
.
Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in the Preface section.
- Disable the SIR system. Refer to
SIR Disabling and Enabling
in SIR.
- Remove the front seat. Refer to
Front Seat Replacement - Bucket
.
- Remove the front seat adjuster. Refer to
Front Seat Adjuster Replacement
.
- Disconnect the wiring harness connectors as required.
- Unclip the cable tray from the seat adjuster.
- Pull the cable tray forward to release it
from the seat adjuster.
- Using a 5mm drill bit drill out the pop
rivet, (1) in two places, securing the memory seat module to the cable tray.
- Carry out the above procedure for the seat interface module, (SIM), which
is located on the memory seat module.
- Remove the wiring harness from the cable
tray by squeezing the tabs on the harness clips (1) and by removing the tape (2).
Installation Procedure
Important: Ensure the wiring harness is install as per
removal.
- Install the wiring harness to the cable tray and secure installing the wiring
harness clip (1) listen fir an audible click to confirm fitting.
- Install tape around the wiring harness.
- Align the memory seat module with the cable tray.
- Using a universal pop rivet gun and pop rivets secure the memory seat
module to the cable tray.
- Carry out the above procedure for the seat interface module, (SIM).
- Align the memory seat module with the cable tray.
- Using a universal pop rivet gun and pop rivets secure the memory seat
module to the cable tray.
- Carry out the above procedure for the seat interface module, (SIM).
- Push the cable tray onto the seat adjuster
backwards to secure it to the seat adjuster.
- Clip the cable tray to the seat adjuster.
- Connect the wiring harness connectors as required.
- Install the front seat adjuster. Refer to

- Install the front seat. Refer to
Front Seat Replacement - Bucket
.

- Enable the SIR system. Refer to
SIR Disabling and Enabling
in SIR.

- Connect the battery ground cable to the battery. Refer to

- Test the seat for correct mechanical and electrical operation.
