Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 2088390 Size: SH

    Important: In the event the instrument panel compartment door spring (1) is broken it may not need removal from the actuator hooks (2). Removal of any broken spring debris is required.

  1. Remove the close out panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side.
  2. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
  3. Remove the instrument panel compartment door latch release handle. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Release Handle Replacement.
  4. Using a suitable tool, un-hook and remove the instrument panel compartment door spring (1) from the actuator hooks (2).
  5. Clear any debris left from a broken spring.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2088390 Size: SH
  1. Install the instrument panel compartment door spring (1) onto the actuator hooks (2).
  2. Install the instrument panel compartment door latch release handle. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Release Handle Replacement.
  3. Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
  4. Install the close out panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side.
