Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the rear window wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement.

    2. Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  2. Open liftgate and install a suitable liftgate brace to the vehicle.
  3. Remove the liftgate window side garnish mouldings. Refer to Liftgate Window Side Garnish Molding Replacement.
  4. Remove the liftgate window lower garnish moulding. Refer to Liftgate Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement.
  5. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement.

    6. Object Number: 2046867 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the rear window wiper motor electrical connector (1) from the rear window wiper motor (2).

    7. Object Number: 2046868 Size: SH
  7. Remove the rear window wiper motor to liftgate retaining bolts (1).
  8. Remove the rear window wiper motor (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2046868 Size: SH
  1. Position the rear window wiper motor (2) to the liftgate.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the rear window wiper motor to liftgate retaining bolts (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 8  N·m (71 lb in).

  3. Connect the rear window wiper motor electrical connector (1) the rear window wiper motor (2).
  4. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement.
  5. Install the liftgate window lower garnish moulding. Refer to Liftgate Window Lower Garnish Molding Replacement.
  6. Install the liftgate window side garnish mouldings. Refer to Liftgate Window Side Garnish Molding Replacement.

    7. Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

  7. Remove the suitable liftgate brace from the vehicle and close the liftgate.
  8. Install the rear window wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement.
