Removal Procedure
Important: When a suitable hold open device is being
removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage
to the vehicle or personal injury.
- Install a suitable liftgate brace to the vehicle.
- Remove the rear compartment floor panel carpet. Refer to
Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement.
- Remove the load floor stationary panel carpet. Refer to
Load Floor Stationary Panel Carpet Replacement.
- Remove the cargo tie down loop bolt caps (1)
from the cargo tie down loop assemblies (3).
- Remove the cargo tie down loop assembly to body retaining bolts (2).
- Fold the rear seat backs (1) down
exposing the load floor front panel carpet (2).
- Carefully disengage the load floor front panel carpet to body retaining
clips (3).
- Remove the load floor front panel carpet (2) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Important: Ensure front of load floor front panel carpet
locates under the rear seats.
- Position the load floor front panel carpet (2) to the vehicle.
- Push down on the load floor front panel carpet (2) to engage the
load floor front panel carpet to body retaining clips (3).
- Fold the rear seat backs (1) to the up position.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

- Install the cargo tie down loop assembly to body retaining bolts (2).
Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft
)
- Install the cargo tie down loop bolt caps (1) to the cargo tie
down loop assemblies (3).
- Install load floor stationary panel carpet. Refer to
Load Floor Stationary Panel Carpet Replacement.
- Install the rear compartment floor panel carpet. Refer to
Rear Compartment Floor Panel Carpet Replacement.
- Remove the suitable liftgate brace from the vehicle.
