Seat Belt Height Adjuster Replacement - Front LHD

1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
2. Remove the door sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
3. Remove the lower centre pillar trim plate. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
4. Remove the upper centre pillar trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
5. Remove the front seat belt lower anchor bolt cover (2).
6. Remove the front seat belt lower anchor bolt assembly (1).
7. Move the front seat all the way forward towards the front of the vehicle, to gain access to the seat belt.



8. Remove the intermediate seat belt guide screws (2) and the intermediate seat belt guide (1).



9. Remove the front seat belt D-Ring seat belt guide (2) to the height adjuster assembly  (1).



10. Move the height adjuster to gain access to the bolts (1). Remove the height adjuster from the vehicle. Remove the seat belt height adjuster (if required).



11. Remove the front seat belt retractor bolt (3).
12. Lift the retractor (2) in a upwards direction and tilt on a 30 degree angle making sure that the locking tab  (4) is clear.
13. Remove the dust cover  (1) from the centre pillar (if required).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




1. Install the front seat belt dust cover (2) to the vehicle (if removed).
2. Install the front seat belt retractor (3) to the vehicle. Making sure that the locking tab  (1) is seated correctly, secure the retractor (3) with the bolt (4).

Tighten
Tighten the bolt  (4) to 43 N·m (31 lb ft).




3. Install the intermediate seat belt guide (1) to the vehicle. Secure the guide with the screws (2).

Tighten
Tighten the intermediate seat belt guide screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).





Important: Install a new height adjuster assembly (if required) and tighten.

4. Install the seat belt height adjuster bolts (1) to the vehicle. Make sure the seat belt height locating pin (2) is seated correctly before tightening.

Tighten
Tighten the seat belt height adjuster bolts (1) to 30 N·m (24 lb ft).




5. Install the front seat belt upper guide assembly (2) to the height adjuster assembly (1).

Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt upper guide bolt assembly to 43 N·m (32 lb ft).

6. Install the upper centre pillar trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
7. Install the lower centre panel trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
8. Install the door sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement .
9. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .



10. Install the front seat belt lower anchor assembly (1).

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 42.5 N·m (31 lb ft).

11. Install the front seat belt lower anchor bolt trim cover (2).
12. Move the front seat back to original position.

Seat Belt Height Adjuster Replacement - Front RHD

1. Remove the door sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement.
2. Remove the lower centre pillar trim plate. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement .
3. Remove the upper centre pillar trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
4. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.



5. Remove the front seat belt lower anchor bolt cover (2).
6. Remove the front seat belt lower anchor bolt assembly (1).
7. Move the seat all the way forward towards the front of the vehicle, to gain access to the seat belt.



8. Remove the intermediate seat belt guide screws (2).
9. Remove the intermediate seat belt guide (1).



10. Remove the front seat belt D-Ring seat belt guide (2) to the height adjuster assembly  (1).



11. Move the height adjuster to gain access to the bolts (1). Remove the height adjuster from the vehicle. Remove the seat belt height adjuster (if required).



12. Remove the front seat belt retractor bolt (4).
13. Lift the retractor (3) in a upwards direction and tilt on a 30 degree angle making sure that the locking tab  (1) is clear.
14. Remove the dust cover  (2) from the centre pillar (if required).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.




1. Install the front seat belt dust cover (2) to the vehicle (if removed).
2. Install the front seat belt retractor (3) to the vehicle.
3. Making sure that the locking tab  (1) is seated correctly.
4. Secure the retractor (3) with the bolt (4).

Tighten
Tighten the bolt  (4) to 43 N·m (31 lb ft).




5. Install the intermediate seat belt guide (1) to the vehicle. Secure the guide with the screws (2).

Tighten
Tighten the intermediate seat belt guide screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).





Important: Install a new height adjuster assembly (if required) and tighten.

6. Install the seat belt height adjuster bolts (1) to the vehicle. Make sure the seat belt height locating pin (2) is seated correctly before tightening.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts (1) to 30 N·m (24 lb ft).




7. Install the front seat belt upper guide assembly (2) to the height adjuster assembly (1).

Tighten
Tighten the front seat belt upper guide bolt assembly to 43 N·m (32 lb ft).

8. Install the upper centre pillar trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
9. Install the lower centre panel trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement.
10. Install the door sill trim plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement.
11. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement.



12. Install the front seat belt lower anchor assembly (1).

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 42.5 N·m (31 lb ft).

13. Install the front seat belt lower anchor bolt trim cover (2).
14. Move the front seat back to original position.
