Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement LHD

Removal Procedure

    Important: Do NOT attempt to repair or alter the bracket on the child seat restraint system. If the bracket is damaged, replace the entire bracket. Altering the bracket could result in personal injury.


    Object Number: 1959869  Size: SH
  1. Using a suitable tool to open the cap, remove the bolt that retains the child restraint anchor fitting that is being serviced.

  2. Object Number: 1959866  Size: SH
  3. Remove the child restraint anchor fitting (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1959869  Size: SH
  1. Install the child restraint anchor fitting to the rear windshield shelf.
  2. Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the child restraint anchor fitting bolt (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 20 N·m (22 lb ft).

  5. Using a suitable tool remove the retaining clip (2) to gain access for installing a secondary child restraint anchor (if required).

  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 20 N·m (22 lb ft).
