DTC Descriptor

DTC C0558 00: Calibration Data Not Programmed

Diagnostic Fault Information

Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle prior to using this diagnostic procedure.

Circuit/System Description

The electronic brake control module (EBCM) must be calibrated/programmed or has an internal fault and requires replacement.

Conditions for Running the DTC

    â€¢ The ignition is ON.
    â€¢ Ignition voltage is between 9 and 16 volts.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The EBCM has not been calibrated or has an internal fault.

Action Taken When the DTC Sets

    â€¢ The EBCM disables the ABS and the TCS for the duration of the ignition cycle
    â€¢ The ABS fault indicator on the driver information centre (DIC) is activated.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    â€¢ The condition responsible for setting the DTC no longer exists.
    â€¢ The EBCM automatically clears the history DTC when a current DTC is not detected in 100 consecutive drive cycles.
    â€¢ The DTC can be cleared using a scan tool.

Circuit/System Testing

  1. Verify that no other DTCs are not set.
  2. ⇒If any other DTCs are set, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
  3. Calibrate/programme the EBCM.
  4. Ignition ON, using the scan tool view the current DTCs.
  5. ⇒If DTC  C0558 is set to current replace EBCM.

Repair Instructions

Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the diagnostic procedure.
