Removal Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1760914  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Caution: Gasoline or gasoline vapors are highly flammable. A fire could occur if an ignition source is present. Never drain or store gasoline or diesel fuel in an open container, due to the possibility of fire or explosion. Have a dry chemical (Class B) fire extinguisher nearby.

  3. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge front hose from the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve.
  4. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge front hose from the EVAP pipe.

  5. Object Number: 1760915  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the EVAP pipe rear hose from the EVAP canister.

  7. Object Number: 1760916  Size: SH
  8. Remove the EVAP canister vapor pipe protector bracket.
  9. Remove the EVAP canister vapor pipe retaining clips.
  10. Remove the EVAP canister vapor pipe.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1760916  Size: SH
  1. Install the EVAP canister vapor pipe with the retaining clips.
  2. Install the EVAP canister vapor pipe retaining clips.
  3. Install the EVAP canister vapor pipe protector bracket.

  4. Object Number: 1760915  Size: SH
  5. Connect the EVAP pipe rear hose to the EVAP canister.

  6. Object Number: 1760914  Size: SH
  7. Connect the EVAP canister purge front hose to the EVAP canister pipe.
  8. Connect the EVAP canister purge front hose to the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve.
