- Loosen the suspension adjustment link-to-frame fastener enough to allow for movement.
Important: If experiencing problems in adjusting the rear toe, replace the existing nut with the service cam nut to eliminate the adjustment problem.
- Rotate the suspension adjustment nut in the direction necessary to correct the toe angle.
- Snug the suspension adjustment link-to-frame fastener, do not tighten at this time.
- Reinspect the rear toe specifications and adjust as necessary.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Hold the nut and tighten the link-to-frame fastener bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 164 N·m (121 lb ft).
- Repeat the procedure for the other rear wheel.
- Measure the alignment on an alignment rack. Refer to
Wheel Alignment Measurement.
- Remove and discard the toe link-to-frame bolt, nut, and washer.
Important: Do not tighten the new fasteners yet in order to allow for movement.
- Install a NEW cam washer to a NEW cam bolt.
- Install the cam bolt with the washer to the toe link.
- Install, but do not tighten, a NEW cam nut to the cam bolt.
- Rotate the cam nut in order to adjust the toe angle. Refer to
Wheel Alignment Specifications.
- Hand tighten the cam bolt, but do not tighten the bolt to the specification yet.
- Reinspect the rear toe angle and adjust as necessary.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
- Hold the cam nut and tighten the cam bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 160 N·m (118 lb ft).
- Repeat the procedure for the other rear wheel.
- Lower the vehicle.
