Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side .
  2. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
  3. Remove the stop lamp switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1764635 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the retaining clip from the pushrod of brake booster.
  5. Remove the nut and the bolt from the top of brake pedal arm.
  6. Remove the brake pedal.

    7. Object Number: 1764636 Size: SH
  7. Remove the brake pedal cover from the brake pedal.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1764636 Size: SH
  1. Install the brake pedal cover to the brake pedal.

    2. Object Number: 1764635 Size: SH
  2. Coat the brake pedal arm with grease.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the bolt and the nut to the top of brake pedal arm.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the brake pedal arm-to-the bracket nut to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  4. Install the retaining clip to the pushrod of the booster.
  5. Install the stop lamp switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Replacement .
  6. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
  7. Install the instrument panel lower trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side .
