Verify that the rear window lockout function does not work properly.

Does the lockout function operate properly?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

Important: Verify the power window switch lockout is not engaged.

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Disconnect the front power window switch.
3. Test the front power window switch lockout signal circuit for a short to voltage.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the front power window switch.

Is the repair complete?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
