Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820579 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
  3. Remove the charge air cooler outlet hose. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe and Outlet Pipe Replacement.
  4. Disconnect the removed electric throttle control (ETC) connector.
  5. Remove the throttle body.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1820579 Size: SH
  1. Install the throttle body and tighten the retaining bolts and nuts to 9 N·m (79.7  lb in).
  2. Connect the ETC connector.
  3. Install the charge air cooler outlet hose. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe and Outlet Pipe Replacement.
  4. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
