Removal Procedure
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Disconnect the brake line from the brake hose support bracket on the wheel housing on each side of the vehicle.
- Remove the retainer.
- Remove the brake hose from the wheel housing bracket.
- Remove the brake hose from the clip.
- Remove the brake hose from the brake caliper.
- Remove the brake hose from the retainers and retaining bracket from the strut.
Installation Procedure
- Install the new brake hose to the caliper with the new seal rings and the bolt and tighten to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).
- Install the brake hose and clip to the retaining bracket. Connect the brake hose to brake pipe line and tighten the brake line fittings to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).
- Install the brake hose to the clips.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding.
- Check the brake system for leaks.
