Warning: If the seat cushion or seatback foam is damaged when you remove the seat heater element, replace the seat cushion or seatback in order to prevent personal injury.

Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the airbag and heating mat wiring harness.
3. Remove the seatback and/or cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement.
4. Remove the seat cover from the seatback and/or the cushion.
5. Peel the heating mat off of the cushion.

1. Install the heating mat.
2. Install the seat cover onto the seatback and/or the cushion.
3. Install the seatback and/or the seat cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Replacement.
4. Connect the airbag and heating mat wiring harness.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
