March 2008

Dear Captiva Customer:

This is a notice to inform you of a customer satisfaction program that Chevrolet has decided to address a potential problem with the cruise control system in your Captiva. Cruise control system is device maintaining a speed of about 40 km/h or more without applying the accelerating pedal.

Chevrolet has received customer complaints that the cruise control was not disengaged by the cancel button located on the steering wheel. In response, Chevrolet engineers found that the cancelling signal did not transfer to the ECM (Engine Control Module) due to software error in certain 2008 Captiva vehicles.

Thus, you are kindly requested to visit your local Chevrolet Dealer or Authorized Service Center (ASC) to have the vehicle repaired properly and immediately, if your car is within the following range:

- Captiva (VIN* KL1CD26FJ8B153745 ~ KL1CC23F18B169872)

* VIN=Vehicle Identification Number

ECM in your car will be reprogrammed with no cost to you. This service should take about thirty minutes, so to minimize waiting time, you are recommended to make an appointment in advance.

If you have any question, please feel free to contact Chevrolet Customer Assistance Center at ------------------------------------------.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
