EN-46745 Piston Pin Retainer Remover and Installer


    Object Number: 4967  Size: SH

    Caution: Handle the piston carefully. Worn piston rings are sharp and may cause bodily injury.

  1. Disassemble the piston rings. Use a suitable tool to expand the rings. The piston rings must not be reused.

  2. Object Number: 1594338  Size: SH

    Important: Two retainers hold the piston pins in place. No special tools are required to remove the piston pins. Ensure that the piston pin is not damaged. Do not reuse the retainers.

  3. Remove the piston pin retainers using the EN-46745 .

  4. Object Number: 35866  Size: SH
  5. Remove the piston pin.

  1. Disassemble the piston rings (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). Use a suitable tool to expand the rings. The piston rings must not be reused.

  2. Object Number: 2148518  Size: SH

    Note: Two retainers hold the piston pins in place. No special tools are required to remove the piston pins. Ensure that the piston pin is not damaged. Do not reuse the retainers.

  3. Remove the piston pin retainers using the EN-46745 remover  (1).

  4. Object Number: 2148520  Size: SH
  5. Remove the piston pin (1) and the connecting rod (3) from the piston (2).
