Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2009 🢒 Captiva Sport 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.4L 🢒 Intake Manifold Installation

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1403786 Size: SH
  1. Install the intake manifold studs in the manifold face.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the intake manifold studs to 6 N·m (53 lb in).


    Object Number: 1867012 Size: SH
  2. Install a new intake manifold gasket on the intake manifold.
  3. Install the intake manifold.
  4. Install the intake manifold bolts and nuts. Follow the tightening sequence.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts and nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Lubricate NEW fuel injector tip insulators with engine oil.
  6. Install NEW fuel injector tip insulators.

    7. Object Number: 1867008 Size: SH
  7. Lubricate the fuel injector oil rings with engine oil.
  8. Install the fuel rail assembly.
  9. Install the fuel rail stud.

    10. Tighten
    Tighten the stud to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1867007 Size: SH
  10. Install a new throttle body gasket.
  11. Install the throttle body.
  12. Install the throttle body bolts.

    13. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).


    Object Number: 1867006 Size: SH
  13. Install the EVAP canister valve (2).

    14. Tighten
    Tighten the EVAP canister valve to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

  14. Install the EVAP canister valve tube (1).

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Install the intake manifold studs in the manifold face and tighten to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

    2. Object Number: 1867012 Size: SH
  2. Install a new intake manifold gasket on the intake manifold.
  3. Install the intake manifold.
  4. Install the intake manifold bolts and nuts. Follow the tightening sequence. Tighten the bolts and nuts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    5. Object Number: 1867010 Size: SH
  5. Lubricate NEW fuel injector tip insulators with engine oil.
  6. Install NEW fuel injector tip insulators.

    7. Object Number: 1867008 Size: SH
  7. Lubricate the fuel injector oil rings with engine oil.
  8. Install the fuel rail assembly.
  9. Install the fuel rail fastener and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    10. Object Number: 1867007 Size: SH
  10. Install a new throttle body gasket.
  11. Install the throttle body.
  12. Install the throttle body bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    13. Object Number: 2128097 Size: SH
  13. Install the EVAP canister valve (2) and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
  14. Install the EVAP canister valve tube (1).
