1. Fuel Door Latch Inoperative 2. Door Locks Inoperative |
The fuel door latch actuator shares the circuit with the driver door latch assembly. The body control module (BCM), upon receipt of a lock switch lock or unlock signal, will switch the appropriate door lock actuator, as well as a fuel filler door release actuator control circuits to battery positive voltage. The opposing side of the door lock and fuel filler door release actuators is connected to ground provided by the I/P fuse block through the other door lock actuator control circuit and the doors, along with the fuel filler door release, will lock or unlock as commanded.

Fuel Fill Door Description and Operation
Control Module References for scan tool information
Observe the operation of the power door locks while using the driver door lock switch. All doors and the fuel filler door should LOCK and UNLOCK.
⇒ | If any power door lock does not operate as commanded, refer to Power Door Locks Inoperative . |
⇒ | If the test lamp is always ON, test both control circuits for a short to voltage. |
⇒ | If the test lamp remains OFF, test both control circuits for a short to ground or open/high resistance. |
⇒ | If the function does not perform as specified, replace the fuel door latch actuator. |
⇒ | If the function does not perform as specified, replace the fuel door latch actuator. |
